Byron Shire is home to beachside villages, popular tourism hotspots, thriving river systems and lush hinterland areas, along with more populated urban centres, home to a range of shopping and medical amenity as well as commercial offerings.

Residential suburbs are dotted along the east coast at Brunswick Heads, Byron Bay, Broken Head, New Brighton, Ocean Shores, South Golden Beach and Suffolk Park.  A short drive inland from the beaches are our quieter, rural residential areas like Mullumbimby, Bangalow, Billinudgel and Ewingsdale, where you'll also find hinterland retreats, hobby farms and larger farms.

Be sure to also check out the suburb reports for our local neighbourhoods, including median house price, sales volume and demographic factors that drive demand and property value.  Use these property market reports to discover the next local hotspot or to understand the value of your own property in the area.  Or complete our instant appraisal below.

Just under 40,000 people currently live in the Byron Shire.

We acknowledge the Arakwal people of the Bundjalung Nation, as the Traditional Owners of the land on which we work here in Brunswick Heads and across the wider Byron Shire of New South Wales, Australia.
